Having been a dog lover all my life, I raised my first puppies at age 13. Over a span of the next 25 years, I had experience with a lot of different breeds including other herding dogs such as the catahoola leopard, the australian shepherd, and the collie. The first time I saw an australian cattle dog in the middle 1970's, it was love at first sight. I couldn't get one fast enough. After that, all other breeds had to step aside. It was difficult to find an australian cattle dog locally, so in 1989 I started breeding my own. In 1993, I made my first visit to Oklahoma to see Jim Buzzard's Cattle Dogs. Again it was love at first sight. His breeding produced a stouter dog with a large bone structure. At that point, I enlarged my breeding stock to include several Buzzard dogs. During this time, I also became acquainted with Don and Nancy Gines. I have chosen them to handle and show my dogs in the AKC show rings. Thanks to their expertise, I now have five champion Australian Cattle Dogs and another one on the way. I never tire of watching my puppies develop and sharing my love of Cattle Dogs with other people. It would be a pleasure to help you select the right puppy for your needs.
